Drag Artist Talks About George Santos Leaving Brazil and then Returning to Compete in Drag Contest

Here’s more on the story about the openly gay politician in Washington D.C. who allegedly lies constantly. The jokes going around on Twitter are both sad and funny. Sad because he’s the kind of gay man who should be representing us well.

In any event, here’s another story about Santos. He once tried to become Miss Gay Rio de Janeiro. But he lost. The person making this next comment is problematic for me. One the one hand, Santos has allegedly lied about quit a bit. But one the other hand she fat shames him, and I don’t believe in that. Drag queens can be nasty little things. 

“The beauty pageant is for boys who dress like women,” she continued. “They are beautiful. The boys are beautiful. And he lost because he was fat.”

Now, just to be clear here, in general, drag performers are not considered transgender people. They usually identify as gay and the love to impersonate women. But they’re still men. I see a lot of straights on social media who get this confused.
