Nor’easter 2010

This is what it looked like at the end of my driveway today. And it still hadn’t stopped snowing at that point. Altogether, we reached about eighteen inches in New Hope, and Philadelphia, and points an hour south, reached well over two feet.

I have a long driveway. And I still refuse to pay anyone to plow me out. It’s the principle. Plus I like the snow and shoveling is part of the fun.

Snow, Ice and More Snow…

So far this winter we’ve had two inches of ice, topped with three inches of frozen snow, then two more inches of ice topped with six inches of snow. My driveway is a skating rink: I crawl down so I can cross the road to get the mail. And the mailbox has gone down with each storm, thanks to the snow plows.

But it sure is gorgeous when I look out the window.
