New Release: DANCING DIRTY

DANCING DIRTY was released today, and I’ll blog more about it later. But here’s a basic synopsis of the story from the publisher’s web site.

Synopsis

It’s the summer of 1978, it’s the middle of the disco era, and dancing is one of the hottest trends. But eighteen year old Junior has never seen the inside of a gay bar or danced with another man. His mother and father think he’s just shy about meeting girls and that he’ll grow out of it. His little sister drives him insane with her constant invisible companion, a talking dog named Elmer. All Junior cares about is meeting the right man and falling in love.

But when his parents buy a summer home in an exclusive resort community in the mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania, his prospects of finding love don’t look too promising. His first day there he meets an aggressive, abrasive young woman who isn’t the least bit shy about letting him know she wants to get to know him better. And the more he ignores her, the more she chases after him.

While his mother and father are enjoying all the amenities of the resort, and his sister is flirting with one of the waiters, Junior mopes around watching everyone else have fun. That is until he meets a handsome young dance instructor named Carlo who changes his life in ways he’d never dreamed were possible.

From the minute Junior lays eyes on Carlo, he knows he’s in love. And in order to prove his love, he’s willing to make personal sacrifices that no one else has ever been willing to make for Carlo…

Interview with Cat Johnson on Blogtalkradio…

To the right of this post, on the sidebar, there’s an interview with Cat Johnson, www.catjohnson.net, from www.allromanceebooks.com. Cat asked great questions, and I tried hard to answer them without talking too much and boring her to death. We talked about the Ravenousromance first anniversary, the Ravenousromance Escape to Romance Collection with The Home Shopping Network, and about e-books and romance in general.

There’s an interesting discussion about m/m fiction, and lgbt romance books. We talked about my titles, and why I write them. We even got into some of my work with other publishers, like www.loveyoudivine.com and Cleis Press. It’s only half hour interview, but I think we both covered a lot of topics in a short amount of time. And it was a pleasure talking with Cat and getting to know her better.

Lori Perkins’ Sex and Taxes Anthology…

I just mailed the contract for the new ravenousromance anthology SEX AND TAXES. It was edited, created and designed by Lori Perkins, and I’m really looking forward to reading the stories when the book is launched. I hate taxes: they freak me out until I get them out of the way each year. But anything that makes paying taxes fun, has to be good.

I know a few of the other authors in the book. One contributed two stories to my own upcoming anthology, LASTING LUST: KINKY COUPLES IN LOVE. He’s an excellent new writer with a strong male voice and I can’t wait to read his version of sex and taxes. I also know a few of the other contributors. Some are seasoned professionals writing with pen names. I’ve been in books with them before, and I’ve always liked what they’ve written.

This is the fourth anthology I’ve been in that has been edited by Lori Perkins. I was pleased with the first two, and I can’t wait for this one. It’s going to be out fast, too. Most likely by April 15th.
