So Why Do People Post Hateful Political Things On Social Media?
There are a lot of people posting a lot of hateful political things these days. And I’m not talking about informational political posts. My friend Jill and a few authors I know post some of the smartest political posts I see on social media. I actually appreciate them because I learn something. I don’t mind funny political posts either…about any candidate. I follow this guy “Bobo” who has posted things that really made me laugh out loud in public places. However, when I see someone post something filled with vitriol about any politician, or someone knocking or shaming an entire group of people because of their beliefs, I’m finished. Where’s the door?
I do wonder why so many people feel this need to express their hate so often, and so viciously. I truly don’t understand that mindset. And this article I’m linking to now tries to explain why people do this.
A set of studies have found the reason your social media connections feel the need to post their views.
The Huffington Post reports a Harvard study found that sharing personal beliefs or feelings on social media works as a release for people because it rewards them for letting something out rather than keeping it in. “Expressing beliefs that are important to you functions as a self-affirmation,” psychology professor Joshua Hart of Union College told The Huffington Post. “It reminds you of the values that are central to your identity—and this gives you a psychological boost.”
There’s more here. It’s not a long article, but for those of you who are like me and you’re wondering what’s up with all this political hate going on lately, you might find it interesting.
18 Epic Ways Women React To Unsolicited Dick Pics
This is totally SFW. It’s a piece with examples of how women react to unsolicited dick pics.
If you’re a woman who uses the Internet for any sort of communication, at some point some jerk is going to send you a dick pic.
You didn’t ask for it, and you didn’t want it. What can be done? Make him deeply regret being a dick and showing you his.

Why Do Men Send Unsolicited Dick Pics?
This is something I don’t really understand myself…why some people send unsolicited pics of their private parts to total strangers . Seriously.
According to a recent Match.com study, sexual photos from guys are the biggest turnoff for women. “I felt visually assaulted every time I checked my phone for updates,” Kate told me over drinks. “I just felt dirty after using my phone! That’s the same device I use to communicate with my parents and my cute little nephew. I couldn’t get off those dating platforms fast enough.”
I’ve actually gotten dick pics…unsolicited…on social media when I least expected them. It is kind of weird and unexpected when you open a DM and see it. But, I’ve also had a few ‘interesting’ DMs from women, too, so men aren’t the only ones guilty of sending questionable unsolicited pics of private parts. Men just don’t talk about it as often.
It’s an interesting post with some really good comments below it.
