More On Orlando Gunman

There’s more information surfacing about the gunman in the Orlando shooting. I’m sure there will be more to come, too. And this is actually shocking.

The gunman who attacked a Florida LGBT nightclub had attended the club before the attack and had also used a gay dating and chat app, witnesses said.

Kevin West, a regular at Pulse nightclub, said Omar Mateen messaged him on and off for a year before the shooting using the gay chat and dating app Jack’d.

But they never met – until early Sunday morning.

You can check this out here. This one will give you chills when you read some of the comments.

Two Men Kissing Photos

People have been reacting to so many things about the Orlando shooting that I don’t think we can discount any of the emotions or opinions. They’re just too honest and filled with passion…and love. I think this reaction is one of best I’ve seen.

It’s a statement people are making in retaliation to a comment that the gunman’s father made about the gunman seeing two men kissing.

In light of this revelation, social media channels have been lighting up with hundreds of photos of men and women engaged in lip locks with members of their same sex. These hashtag campaigns– #TwoMenKissing and #TwoWomenKissing — are a direct response to the attacker’s motivations, and a strong antidote to the legions of right-wing bigots and terroristic trolls taking to Twitter to excitedly praise Mateen’s actions. (Thought Catalog does a troubling roundup of such messages here.)

The rest is here, with photos of men kissing.

Los Angeles Pride Goes Strong

I think people needed this Pride event last weekend, to support each other while in shock, to help each other deal with the Orlando tragedy, and to get through the horrible act in a way that shows strength and solidarity. This particular event shows what Pride is really about.

Despite heavy hearts and threats of violence, Los Angeles still hosted its annual Pride celebration as scheduled last weekend, and the crowds turned out in record numbers to show their solidarity with the victims in Orlando.

You can to check this one out to see the wonderful photos. And the strength that’s being shown to the entire world.
