Mark Ruffalo and the Trans Movie Controversy

This has been making news everywhere and I thought I’d post about it because this kind of thing has happened before and I’m certain it will happen again.

Mark Ruffalo has taken to social media to address the trans community’s critical response to the casting of actor Matt Bomer as a transgender sex worker in his new film, Anything. 

As an executive producer on the project, Ruffalo has addressed concerns regarding Bomer’s involvement in the film in a series of tweets posted Wednesday night.

You can check that out here.  The article goes on to mention tweets and comments from people in the LGBT community who are outraged.

This is interesting, too.

Actress Jamie Clayton, from Netflix’s Sense8, claimed she was blocked by Bomer on Twitter after tweeting, “I really hope you both choose to do some actual good for the trans community one day,” at his account. She was later removed from Bomer’s list of blocked users.

If you do a simple search, you’ll find even more. The most conservative web sites are just loving this one.

“The Gay Bachelor” Controversy

From what I can gather, among other issues, there are conflicting reports about a non-profit allegedly run by “The Gay Bachelor,”  Robert Sepulveda Jr.

But: “I have a nonprofit,” he says in a promo video. So does he or doesn’t he? Well, he might’ve had one when they shot the video, since the nonprofit seems to have shut down shortly before filming started. The timeline’s muddy.

You can read more here. I don’t watch things like this so I know nothing about it.

Hot Male Chef Makes “Liquid Chicken”

I know this one sounds odd, but it’s Friday and it was either this or a post about “Twinks4Trump,” and I settled on this one instead because I’m tired of reading about politics. It’s a nice, harmless piece with a cute guy and you might even want to try the recipe out.

To the rescue comes a very well-built chef who calls himself The Mincing Faggot, who first caught our attention on  Towleroad. TMF is here to offer us all the chance to ogle his physique while experiencing a teachable moment as he whips up what he calls “The Liquid Chicken Shake.”
