General Pulaski of Pulaski Skyway May Have Been Trans Man

I’ve traveled over, and under, the Pulaski Skyway all my life and I never expected to read anything like this. It’s a long bridge in northern New Jersey that connects Newark and Jersey City. It’s actually an impressing looking bridge, especially when viewed from the New Jersey Turnpike. Frankly, I didn’t even know who General Pulaski was at all until I read this article.

An examination of the skeleton of General Casimir Pulaski, a polish nobleman who was known as the “Father of the American Cavalry,” shows that he may have actually been biologically female, according to a release from the university.

Here’s a link to more. This is fascinating. They aren’t 100% certain this is the case, but it’s all going to be explained in a documentary,“America’s Hidden Stories: The General Was Female?” on The Smithsonian Channel on April 8th at 8 pm.

I’m always talking about how many more trans people are out there that we don’t know about, both in the present and the past.

This Is Us Explores Coming Out As a Teen

For about 5 minutes, I was a fan of This Is Us. Tony and I both watched it during the first season and thought it was okay. But it’s really very heteronormative content, and very schmaltzy, and it’s just not a show that is geared toward gay men.

With that said, This Is Us now has a gay story line. It was inevitable and I’m kind of surprised it took so long. It’s typical of network TV shows like This Is Us.

In this week’s episode, Tess (played by Eris Baker), speaks to her uncle Kevin (played by Justin Hartley) about the inner struggle of coming out as gay. She came out to her parents (Sterling K. Brownand Susan Kelechi Watson) earlier in the season in a delicate, sensitive scene.

Here’s a link to more. I can’t comment because I haven’t seen it. I do like Justin Hartley, though. From what I recall of season 1, he plays one of the more interesting characters.

Reader Review: his story will stay with you and you will feel you know every character and the beauty of their home in the mountains of North Carolina. A sequel is in order and a film as well. Bravo Field

Have you ever wondered what it might have been like for two young men who fell in love in 1940? Well that’s exactly what happened to young Joe Buddy Barnes and a cowboy drifter named Clay Totten.

Even though he’s great at running his family’s general store and fixing machines, Joe Buddy can’t seem to figure out how to fix his own life. The fact that he lives way up on remote Buddy’s Mountain in Western North Carolina, with two spinster aunts, doesn’t help his situation either. Although his aunts devoted their lives to him, one aunt never got over a long lost love and the other was born a man who always identified as a woman.

Then one hot summer afternoon in 1940 everything changes. While Joe Buddy is swimming in the creek he accidentally meets a tall, dark cowboy from Wyoming named Clay. He’s a drifter who is only passing through North Carolina on his way to Florida, where he plans to enlist in the military.

There’s an instant connection, and Joe Buddy winds up bringing Clay home for supper that night because he feels sorry for him. However, Joe Buddy suspects there’s more to Clay’s story than he’s telling, and he persuades Clay to stick around long enough to find out. As each event unfolds, these two young men move forward in ways that neither one of them ever expected. And as World War II lurks in the not so far off distance, there are some interesting changes coming to Buddy’s Mountain you won’t want to miss.
