Grey Gardens Is For Sale

If you’re gay (or not) and you don’t know anything about Grey Gardens, here’s a link that will explain everything fast.

If Big Edie and Little Edie were still alive today, they’d both be tap dancing and singing Tea For Two all the way to the bank.

The home may be found at 3 West End Road in East Hampton but it is known as Grey Gardens, a name which entered the modern lexicon after the house became the subject first of a 1975 documentary and later of a Broadway musical and HBO Film. And now, for the first time in almost 40 years Grey Gardens is on the market for $19.995 million.

There’s more here. The people who renovated did a wonderful job.

I happen to like this Grey Gardens blog on blogger.

Michael Sam’s Challenges On Being the First Openly Gay NFL Player

It always bothers me when I see people knocking Michael Sam. They knock his abilities with subjective statements and fail to consider the challenges he has to be facing on a daily basis. And there isn’t a gay person alive today who isn’t facing daily challenges somewhere. In Sam’s case they have to be even more intense. I can’t even imagine it.

He recently made a few comments on what it’s like to be in his position…

“I had to prove myself, to show that I was one of the guys. I was cut from the Rams, even though I was in the top five in sacks. Then I went to the Cowboys and had to do it all over again. And then I was cut there. I always felt like an outsider looking in.

When I came out to the world on Feb. 9, 2014, I  got tons of emails from people telling me how they were condemned for their sexuality. It made me sad and angry. I spoke to one girl who told me that because I came out, she didn’t commit suicide. I was speechless.

He’s been a huge inspiration for millions of gay people, and I think that’s partly because he’s not like any of the stereotypes we’ve ever known. Of course most people don’t get him because he challenges them in ways they never expected. He’s an honest man who simply wants to play football, plain and simple.

Melania Trump and the Blogger Lawsuit

I’m very pragmatic about things like this, and I believe in the process. I may not always like it, but I believe in it. Whether you love Melania Trump or you hate her, things seem to be changing…

A Maryland blogger has been forced to pay a “substantial sum” to Melania Trump as part of a settlement for a defamation lawsuit over an article containing unsubstantiated claims that the first lady once worked as an escort, her lawyers announced Tuesday.

“I posted an article on August 2, 2016 about Melania Trump that was replete with false and defamatory statements about her,” Webster Tarpley, the 71-year-old blogger, said in a statement by Trump’s attorneys, according to the Washington Post.
