Fangsters 2 In Paperback
I’ve been remiss with this book…Fangsters 2. I’ve been blogging about it as an e-book for over a week and today I just discovered it’s also available in paperback on Amazon.
I’m so used to e-books and reading and writing e-books I often overlook the fact that there are a lot of people who still read print books, and I apologize for that. I should know better because I get messages all the time from people asking which of my books are out in print.
So I’ll rectify that now. Fangsters 2 is available on Amazon as a print book, in paperback. As I said, I didn’t know about it and only found out myself today by accident.
It’s also available as an e-book..and you don’t need a kindle e-reader to read kindle books. I read my Amazon purchases on my iPhone and mini iPad. I sometimes read them on my PC. The apps are easy to download and they’re free.
Being Gay and Black
As this article states at the beginning, it’s impossible to understand another person’s experience if we haven’t lived it ourselves. This is about what it’s like to be a gay black man. It’s one of those meme things, and this time they quote gay black men on their personal experiences.
They’re very honest and many of the quotes are gutting.
Here’s one:
Sometimes it sucks being a gay black man. Most of the time people seem to pigeonhole us for our stereotypical dick size or they say they’re not into black guys.
I’ve dated black men and I’ve heard a lot of these things before and they never, ever get easier to hear.
And from what I’ve been told, one thing that’s rarely ever mentioned is the blatant discrimination toward gay black men that comes from within the black hetero Christian community.
Pawn Stars and Marco Rubio
I don’t even know what the TV show Pawn Stars is about. I’m not a huge fan of reality TV and I’ve never been to a pawn shop in my life. However, it seems the host of the show is worried that the show will be dropped because he supports Marco Rubio. In his statement the PC police claims he made an offensive anti-trans comment.
I’m not sure whether his comment is PC or not, but it’s really more of a dumb comment and not something any bright person would make in public. But this is reality TV we’re talking about. Dumb is dumb.
Here you go:
It does worry me to a degree. You get these massive liberal PC police, they don’t see the law of unintended consequences. You have some cities that are saying that if you have a man who feels like he’s a woman, he can use the women’s restroom. I guarantee you that will be taken advantage of by some very bad men who want to go into a bathroom where there’s young ladies. That will happen if you pass a law like that. It’s not a perfect world. You’ll never make it a perfect world.”
In case you’re curious…I was…here’s a link that explains the law of unintended consequences. It’s actually interesting.
