DNC Homophobic E-mail Leaks “No Homo”

I’m not sure what to make of this…I’m talking about the tone of the article, not the actual leaks. I expect to see leaks like this. I expect anything with politics at this point. But the article sounds way to willing to laugh it all off, and I’m not quire sure I’m ready to do that yet. I think what people do online and what they put in private e-mails usually tells you who that person really is.

One e-mail says this…

I love you too. No homo.

Phew.

Homo is a derogatory term. That’s a given. It’s a slur. It’s right up there with fag. And then there’s this…

Doug Hathaway is definitely gay. He swims for the gay and lesbian team in DC.

Again, it’s not so much the e-mails that bother me. But the tone of this article itself makes us all sound as if we’re blithering idiots.

You can check this out here.

Just to show you that I’m not the only one who questioned these e-mails I’m linking to another article below.

And one wondered about the use of the term “homo.” Isn’t it considered derogatory? What if someone in the Republican National Committee had used it? How about someone else?

Gay Men and Open Relationships

I wrote extensively about this in my most recent indie novel, Unabated. I think more gay men have open relationships than are willing to admit. And I don’t see anything wrong with it…for the right people. It’s not for everyone.

While critics of open relationships remain cooped up in their studies, droning on about how humans will never be able to differentiate between love and sex, plenty of same-sex couples are demonstrating how open relationships can indeed be highly successful, perhaps even allowing each party to become closer to one another, more communicative, and more satisfied with their love-lives in general, especially when compared to their so-called “more faithful” peers.
It’s very interesting.

When Your Sex Tape Is Leaked Online

E-mails from the DNC aren’t the only things being leaked lately.

You can try to reach out to the tube site that posted the vid, but a simple search reveals people have already downloaded and uploaded it to other sites. The scene is only seven minutes, but it’s fifteen minutes of fame you never volunteered for. You’re officially and unwittingly an Internet thing…

This is more of less what happened to Lokies Khan, a gay man from Singapore who discusses what it’s like having a video released online that shows you having sex.

Frankly, I think when you do a sex video you run the risk of this happening. There are still millions of people out there who have never done a sex video, and never will. They don’t have to worry about their sex video being leaked. It’s that simple sometimes.

The moral to this one is think very carefully before you make a sex video. What goes online stays online forever.

Here’s the rest.
