Average Penis Size

This blog post is not going to change the world, but I’ve always been curious about these things and I think many people are. I’ve posted about these facts and statistics before but I like to revisit them to see if anything has changed…or if there’s a new perspective.

So here’s the link to an article that is recent and discusses the topic in a tame way.

Here’s the average penis size:

  • Average length for an erect penis is 14.2 cm (5.6 inches)
  • Average circumference of an erect penis is 12.2 cm (4.8 inches).

You can check out the rest here. It’s a long article with a lot of different facts most people don’t know. At least I didn’t know many of them.

I think the one thing people tend to overlook on the internet nowadays, especially with exaggerated twitter porn, is photo shop. Everyone who knows how to photo shop is photo shopping, even those ab ripped celebrities you see. They’re are the worst and I’m always amazed…and amused…when people believe them.

The Perfect Penis Size

Now that I’m off on a tangent I may as well continue this post with all things penis size. Here’s an article about the perfect penis size. Keep in mind it’s supposedly from a woman’s POV.

Here, the women opted for, on average, a penis that was 6.4 inches/16.3 cm long and with a circumference of 5.0 inches/12.7 cm.
But in a long-term relationship, size was slightly less of an issue, with the average preference being a length of 6.3 inches/16.0 cm and circumference of 4.8 inches/12.2 cm.

Here’s a link to the rest. I think it would be interesting to do a gay male study and compare the two. Penis size was only an issue for me once. The guy really was just too small. I know that sounds terrible to admit, but at least I’m being honest. And this guy was gorgeous and really nice. We made out for a while and then I finally saw it. We remained good friends.

The Ideal Penis Size

Now here’s a forum where the topic of ideal penis size is discussed in a non-scientific way. It’s a health forum for women and I think it’s SFW.

This comment from a woman who reads erotic romance is enlightening and very well written.

If you read erotic fiction for women you’ll see all men are “well endowed.”

When I choose a partner for sex only, I repeat, for sex only, appearance counts, including his penis. But that goes both ways. A man who’s out only for sex will be selective, too.

I think sexual attraction is very important to keep a woman’s libido going long time. I’ve been with my husband for decades. I still desire him like at the beginning. I worship his body, including his penis, the size of which we’ve never measured, of course. He’s just perfection, as far as I’m concerned.

I wonder. Perhaps, when time exacerbates the friendship side of a marriage and passion eases into routine, if the physical aspect isn’t what is necessary to keep a woman desiring. As you know, that is often an issue.

I think the big difference between real life and fiction sometimes is the exaggeration. And while we may fantasize about men who are well-endowed in books and porn, it’s not a top priority in real life. But even more important to fiction, even though I’ve written many characters who are well-endowed, I have never once created a character who only fell in love with a man for his penis size. It’s been tempting, but I haven’t done it yet. I either ignore the topic on purpose in the book and focus on the love, or I mention the penis size was only an added addition to the relationship. I did that with Kevin and Proctor in The Rainbow Detective series. Although Proctor is absolutely stunned with Kevin’s huge penis, he falls in love with him for many other reasons that focus on intimacy.

Here’s a link to this page. As usual, comments like this are much better than articles.
