Illma Gore and Bad Trump Penis Art

Ms. Gore is the woman who painted the nude image of Donald Trump and she’s calling it art. I’m not supporting any particular candidate as of yet, but I do think art…as rule, like fiction…is subjective, and my review of her “art” is not very strong. I think she’s an amateur. If others feel differently, that’s fine, too. I support your right to disagree with me. It’s subjective. 

And I would feel the same way if she’d painted a nude full frontal portrait of Hillary Clinton, in all of Hillary’s glory.

In any event, I also don’t support the treatment Gore has allegedly been receiving from Trump supporters.

For two months I have been under attack by Donald Trump and his supporters for painting the presumptive Republican nominee with a small penis. I’ve received death threats, rape threats and anonymous phone calls demanding I remove the image from my social media accounts or risk going to court.

Nurse and Penis Photos

A female nurse who was taking smart phone penis photos of patients has quit her job. Of course the patients didn’t know she was doing this…and she got caught.

The 27-year-old was arrested in May after a nine-month investigation revealed she’d used her smartphone to snap a photo of an unconscious patient’s penis, which she texted to coworkers at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, N.Y., according to court documents cited by the Post-Standard.

You can check this one out here. Sounds like there’s something like misogyny going on here, but I don’t think there’s a word for it when it happens to men. Oh wait, yes there is, “perving” works in this case.

Seth Rogen Apologizes For Homophobic Jokes

Evidently, Seth Rogen is apologizing for homophobic jokes, and I didn’t even know he made them.

“There’s for sure some stuff in our earlier movies — and even in our more recent movies — where even like a year later you’re like ‘Eh, maybe that wasn’t the greatest idea,’” he said. “There are probably some jokes in ‘Superbad’ that are bordering on blatantly homophobic at times … They’re all in the voice of high school kids, who do speak like that, but I think we’d also be silly not to acknowledge that we also were, to some degree, glamorizing that type of language in a lot of ways.”

You can read the rest of this here. The apology is great, however, I hate to see anyone buckle to the PC police. Was it comedy? Was it malicious? What was the context? I honestly don’t know in this case. But I do think there’s a difference.
