Colton Haynes’ Fantastic New Web Site
Here’s a little more about Colton Haynes’ new web site. It’s really very good. I posted about it earlier this week and this is a follow up. Evidently, it’s a huge hit, and rightly so.
The 27-year-old Teen Wolf/Arrow/Grinder star says in his announcement video that he’s very excited to be selling some ‘super limited-edition stuff,’ which include apparel that says ‘anxious’ and ‘daddy.’
Previously Colton spoke up about his longtime struggle with anxiety, which makes sense why he has the word ‘anxious’ on his merchandise.
Black Lives Matter and Toronto Gay Pride
I haven’t been following this at all, so almost everything I read is news to me. Typically, I don’t follow pride related events…because so many other people do that already.
Pride Toronto was brought to a standstill last Saturday when Black Lives Matters protestors blocked the parade from continuing unless organizers met their demands.
Janaya Khan, who led the protest, was campaigning against police involvement as she believes their presence can make members of the black and trans community feel unsafe.
In spite of all the reactions I have seen about this on social media, there are only 9 comments.
Adam Lambert and Queerness Pride
This is a good example of how I’m always talking about how truly diversified gay men are.
Lambert has this message to fans: ‘I want you to keep celebrating exactly who you are, even if you don’t fit into the world’s ideas of what they think you should be. Take your flaws in stride, nurture your talents, take pride in your Queerness, and share all the love you have.’
There’s more here. Just so you know, though, not all gay men identify as “queer” and they are still proud of being openly gay. And, a lot of gay people don’t like labels at all.
However, if there are gay people who find Lambert’s message encouraging, that’s fine, too. If you do identify as “queer” good for you.
