Not Sorry He’s Gay
A US student, Cole Ledford, took to Twitter to leave a strong message to his attacker. Cole and his boyfriend were beaten for kissing.
Yesterday (November 7), he tweeted a picture of himself and his injuries alongside a text with the words: ‘To the guy who punched me tonight for kissing my boyfriend.’
‘I’m sorry that you called me fag,’ wrote Ledford. ‘I’m sorry you hit me for no reason. I’m sorry that whatever insecurities you have don’t allow you to accept others for who they are. I’m sorry that I threaten you.
‘I’m NOT sorry I’m gay. I’m proud to be this way. I’m proud to be confident enough to love who I love and to love me. I’m proud to have friends and family that love me regardless of me. Honestly, I’m not sorry.’
Good for him and for the entire generation just coming into their own. They’re not apologizing to anyone for anything, they aren’t hiding, and they are right out there in the world with everyone else.

Clay Aiken Reality Series?
It’s hard to state how much all this screams UGH. I’ve posted about former American Idol contestant, Clay Aiken, and his campaign to run for office in North Carolina. I thought it was such a wonderful thing…at the time. Well, Aiken lost the race and now there’s talk about a reality show…I guess a behind the scenes type of thing because he was followed by a camera crew the entire time he was campaigning. That alone sounds a little fishy to me.
In any event, here you go:
Viewers will get a close-up view of Aiken’s journey from announcing his candidacy back in February to election day.
The four episode series that will air on Esquire Network, a cable channel owned by NBC Universal.
The series ‘is a raw and honest look at American politics through an incredibly unique and compelling candidate,’ Matt Hanna, Esquire’s head of programming, said in a statement.
Isn’t that what they always say about these reality shows? And then you wind up seeing the same footage regurgitated sixteen times in the same hour. I wonder if Honey Boo Boo will guest star.
Best and Worst of San Fran Clickbait
In this “article” they mention ten things about San Francisco and how the city is either a good thing or bad thing for gay men. I thought they were serious. Actually, I’m going to apologize ahead of time for even linking to this. It’s only interesting because it shows how wrong something can be, but at the same time how you don’t want to take anything like this seriously…just a note to straight people. It’s clickbait and the worst kind of low end advertorial. Nothing more. It does a disservice to gay men and San Francisco.
One of the best things talks about how gay men are everywhere in SF. Here’s one of the worst:

Sure, there may be 100,000 strong in San Francisco, and that should spell options…but not always. Gay men in San Francisco are always on the lookout for the next best thing.
I’m sorry to admit that a gay publication printed it.

The best part of the “article” is found in the comments. One guy states in so many words it’s an advertorial. And the real truth may or may not have been exposed when one guy said this:
SF is filled with dirty old men and hippies… If you want “hot bodies” and “eye candy” go to LA, not SF lol
