Cheney Family Feud Over Gay Marriage

They are calling this the true story about the Cheney family, gay marriage, and the gay daughter.

There’s a biopic out called Vice that’s focused on Dick Cheney. I didn’t know about it until I saw this article.

While a junior in high school, Mary came out to her family as gay. Her parents responded with affirmations, though her mother said she was wary of a future made potentially harder by the world’s homophobia.

You can check it out, here. I remember some of this. Cheney said he supported his gay daughter but that same sex marriage should be left up to the states. But all politicians said that at the time. Democrat and Republican.

Tulsi Gabbard Apologizes For Anti-Gay Comments

I guess I should be paying more attention to this, but I find it hard to take anyone with a high profile seriously who once made anti-gay comments. I’m tired of the apologies. I understand jokes, but this is different. Fact: there are millions of people in this world who never made anti-gay comments, and never will.

Feel free to disagree with me. That’s fine. But you won’t change my mind, and neither will this apology.

“In my past I said and believed things that were wrong, and worse, they were very hurtful to people in the L.G.B.T.Q. community and to their loved ones,” Ms. Gabbard said in a video posted to YouTube and shared on Twitter.

International Triathlon Union Bans Rainbow Flags

They believe that flying the rainbow flag is, “unsportsmanlike, disrespectful and dangerous displays.”

“Athletes will avoid displaying any kind of demonstration of political, religious, sexual orientation or racial propaganda.”

Athletes who display the flag will be warned, and if they don’t remove it they will be disqualified.
