Boston Globe GlobeDocs Film Festival: The State of Marriage
Here’s something that producer, Jeff Kaufman, of same sex marriage documentary, The State of Marriage, sent me the other day. They’re going to be screening The State of Marriage at the Boston Globe GlobeDocs Film Festival this month. I’m part of the film. It’s all here on the blog with a simple search above. Ironically, we’re doing another road trip up to Vermont later this month to check things out in the fall. So if anyone in the Boston area is interested, here you go.
From my inbox:
Our documentary THE STATE OF MARRIAGE is showing Saturday, October 10 at 2:00pm at the first annual Boston Globe GlobeDocs Film Festival. I hope you, and/or folks you know in the Boston area, can join us. The Hollywood Reporter said, “THE STATE OF MARRIAGE is an indispensable addition to the history of the marriage equality movement. This is a fascinating story and a suspenseful nail-biter right up to the feel good ending.”

Gay For Pay Speaks Out
Here’s an article that talks about what it’s like to be gay for pay. It’s another one of those meme things I’m always linking to. I like them, and they sound honest enough. It seems like a comfortable way for guys to speak freely and anonymously without being targeted.
Here’s one quote:
I’m a guy that models shirtless for gay guys online, and I get paid very well for it. No, I’m not gay, no, knowing that a guy is jerking off to me doesn’t bother me. Money is money.
And here’s another…
I’m straight and I became a male stripper at a gay club because I wanted to get over how shy I was. If you can get naked in front of a lot of people you can handle small talk.
I know that sounds a little odd, but I actually believe him.
There are plenty of comments, too.
World’s Most Eligible Bisexual Bachelor
For those of you who are looking to secure a stable financial future with a wealthy dad, this might interest you.
Stein Erik Hagen (pictured) is one of Norway’s top businessmen. The 59-year-old executive owns multiple companies in everything from commercial real estate to e-commerce. He’s worth an estimated $4.3 billion, making him the second richest person in Norway.Oh, and did we mention he likes guys?
And there’s that. You can check it out here.
Evidently, this guy being a billionaire makes him special.
I think it brings up an interesting question. Would you…could you…marry someone for money? I don’t think I could. And, I wouldn’t want anyone marrying me just for money. It’s kind of sad when you think about it.
