There’s a new web site for the global market e-book market being launched today. The web address is Loveyoudivineeurotica.com, and it’s part of Loveyoudivine.com, an e-publisher that has been around for a long time now. I still have a lot of my fiction being released with loveyoudivine, and I’ve been working with them for close to seven years. There are links to author web sites, a full list of titles, and the site seems simple to navigate.
What I like about the new site is there seems to be a lot of added information a lot of publisher web sites don’t explain to readers:

Are Bloggers Considered Journalists?
One thing that seriously aggravates me about the Internet sometimes is when I see a blogger pretending to be a journalist without knowing the first thing about journalism. I don’t consider myself a journalist with this blog, and I have a degree in English with a concentration in journalism. I’ve even worked for newspapers in the past, and I still don’t consider this blog an attempt at journalism…nor do I want it to be.
And yet I see it time and again, and I see people getting it wrong. What truly irritated me yesterday was when I read a post where a blogger who has a large following (for no apparent reason, other than the fact that he mixes a mean pitcher of Kool Aide) made a statement that now we can all be considered journalists just because we have blogs. I don’t agree with this. I do agree that some bloggers are journalists, but certainly not all.
There was a case with a blogger last year where a judge ruled that she was NOT a journalist, and he took some heat for it. He eventually clarified his stand and said this:
In my discussion, I did not state that a person who ‘blogs’ could never be considered ‘media.’ I also did not state that to be considered ‘media,’ one had to possess all or most of the characteristics I recited.

In a general sense, I don’t think these cases are going to disappear. I think the judge was fair and he ruled well. In fact, I only see more coming in the future. So if you are a blogger I would suggest you define your blog with care, and pay attention to every single thing you put in writing. It does not go away…EVER.
One of the things I’ve been paying a great deal of attention to are the blogs with these loud mouths who accuse people of plagiarism and all kinds of vicious things without knowing facts or details…or even giving credible sources. I have a feeling one of these days these dear vacuous bloggers are going to wind up in court paying for their strong opinions. They’ve been getting a free pass for a long time. But that’s going to change.
The IDIOT who pulled up to Chick-fil-a and bullied a worker.
I’ve made it no secret that I think Chick-fil-a is taking the wrong stand with the same sex marriage issue. How could I think otherwise? But I also respect their right to practice what they believe. I just don’t agree with them.
I also don’t agree with the guy who pulled up to the drive-thru window at Chick-fil-a and bullied an employee about the issue. That’s not something I would have done, and it’s not something that anyone working in any service job should have to deal with. That guy showed the kind of arrogance that makes me want to go right for the jugular. I think the woman handled herself very well. If I’d been working in that drive-thru that free water the guy ordered earlier would have been all over his head.
