Dan Savage Linked to Racist Frat Boys
Here’s something you won’t hear much about in mainstream news. I found it on Twitter, which is typically where I get most of my news these days. The guy who has been dubbed as a gay activist…although what makes an activist an activist I’m not completely sure… 51 year old Dan Savage, was recently (and unusually) tied to the racist incident that happened with those frat boys in Oklahoma.
Ken Blackwell from the Family Research Council…anti-gay marriage…said this about Savage:
“Here’s a guy that’s responsible for the coarsening of civil discussion and conversation being celebrated at a time when there are knuckleheads who are still spewing from their lips the sort of nonsense that we heard from the fraternity members,” he argued.

Frankly, It’s hard for me to comment because I’m not too fond of either Savage or Blackwell. Both have big mouths, both are known for putting their feet in their big mouths, both will do anything to get attention and promote themselves, and neither one of them represent me as a gay man. So I’ll pass on commentary with this one.
Here’s something I posted about Savage earlier this month. He knows how to curse, because Internet cursing is so shocking, said no one ever.
Engaged Politician Hooks Up With Guys
Before I get into this I’m seeing something that really irritates me these days, especially in Gay presses. In headlines it’s assumed that because someone is engaged they are engaged in the traditional heterosexual way. And that needs to change. It should be made clear if it’s a same sex engagement. I hope that won’t matter in the future and we won’t assume it’s always a straight engagement. But right now I think it makes a difference…because everyone always assumes engaged people are straight.
The amusing part of this article is that the politician in question, Justin Moed, is a Democrat. Yup. Not a big bad mean Republican this time. The very sad part is that once again we find that old shame we all deal with on a daily basis, because a bright, talented, attractive young man had to hide the fact that he is gay. And he got caught, literally, with his pants down.
It all started when Moed, using the screen name “Bitch Boy,” responded to an ad Leathers posted online seeking a submissive man she could “financially dominate.” The two got to chatting.
Moed told Leather he wanted to dress up in a French maid’s outfit and clean Leathers’ house, buy a strap-on for her to use on him, and be tied up in a closet and listen while Leathers had sex with her boyfriend.
But wait. It gets even more scandalous.
Moed also went into graphic detail about his sexual escapades with other men. He confessed to having an ongoing carnal relationship with a man in Indianapolis. He also said he has a special fondness for “big black cock.” Oh, and he’s a bottom.
“I sucked him,” Moed wrote about the affair. “He f-cked me. We hooked up several times. He was very dominant.”

The comments vary in opinion. I feel bad for the guy, and not just because he has a nice ass. I can’t help wonder if this was a cry for help on a subconscious level. My hope for him is that he embraces who he is, and he starts going after what he wants sexually, guilt free. He’ll be a lot happier in the long run.
Blackmailing Married Men At the Toilets
Once again, the assumption here is that the married men being blackmailed are all straight and married to women. And right now, as it stands, that’s wrong on so many levels. Until that assumption disappears we need to make it clear as to whether a married man is married to a man or a woman.
In this case, the men who were allegedly blackmailed are married to women…just like Moed above was engaged to a woman. I find that interesting because it never even occurred to me to marry a woman and sneak around with men. Evidently, there’s a lot more of this going on than most people realize.
And some are paying a price for it, too.
24-year-old Lee Taylor’s (pictured) strategy was simple: He’d hideout in the men’s bathroom at Gheluvelt Park. Another man would enter the facility. The two would have sex. Afterwards, Taylor would threaten either to reveal the men’s secrets to their families or accuse them of rape unless they forked over £100 ($150 U.S.).
Think about this carefully. What happened here is only one reported incident. How many others are blackmailed this way and we DON’T hear about it because they’re too deep in shame to speak up.
