John Travolta Movie “Horrifically Bad”

I haven’t seen the movie so this isn’t my review. I’m only linking.

“Gotti” has around 28 producers and looks like the all you can eat buffet version of a gourmet Martin Scorsese movie. You only realize how amazing James Gandolfini was in “The Sopranos” by watching Travolta act with his chin, the same way he portrayed Robert Shapiro in the “OJ” mini series. Between Travolta and real life wife Kelly Preston, who plays Mrs. Gotti, the movie is like an infomercial for wigs.

Liza Minnelli Not Thrilled With Renee Zellweger Playing Judy

I haven’t seen this movie yet either, but I do trust Liza’s judgment in this case. After all, she is Judy Garland’s daughter. I think the daughter has a big say in this one. 

Apparently, Liza is NOT thrilled with the movie either. And she probably has good reason to feel that way. 

“I have never met nor spoken to Renee Zellweger,” Minnelli writes. “I don’t know how these stories get started, but I do not approve nor sanction the upcoming film about Judy Garland in any way. Any reports to the contrary are 100% Fiction.”

Mexican Fans, FIFA, and Anti-Gay Slurs

This happens time and again and it’s hardly ever reported in mainstream news. And we just keep getting it. 

FIFA is opening disciplinary proceedings against Mexico after fans of its national football team used anti-gay slurs while celebrating the team’s 1-0 win over Germany, the defending world champs, in their first match of this year’s competition.
