She Helped Her Ex Husband Come Out as Gay and Now They’re Best Friends

This is interesting to me, on this particular day, because Tony and I are watching a TV show on Netflix right now titled, How to Get Away with Murder. The show is good, but there is this one homophobic character that really bothers me. 

This character, a straight women, is dating this really good looking guy. There’s another good looking guy on the show who is openly gay, and when the guy the woman is dating finally meets the openly gay man, they realize they had sex years ago in boarding school. 

Both guys seem relatively okay with this. Years have passed and neither one has any love interest in the other. However, the straight woman goes ballistic. She cannot accept the fact that her boyfriend once had sex with a man. It’s embarrassing to watch because she’s putting all the shame back into gay relationships. And I don’t think she would feel this way if her boyfriend had had sex with a woman in boarding school. 

With that said, here is a kind and loving story where a woman realized her husband was gay, she helped him come out, and now they’re best friends. 

It gets kind of intense in some places. 

He later admitted he’d been sitting in his car deliberating for hours whether it’d be an easier route for him to take his own life.
