The Don't Say Gay Law In Florida,

The Don’t Say Gay Law In Florida

By now I think I have heard all the spins on the don’t say gay law in Florida and none of them hold up for me. This law is, and always was, intended to target LGBTQ people and shame them into submission. And that’s always been the essence of homophobia in general.

With that said, now Florida wants to control Disney. Lawmakers posted a notice on Osceola County’s website that legislation will be taken to alter the powers of Reedy Creek Improvement District, which has always been known as Disney’s own private government.

As of right now no one is certain what this means and no details have been released. Last Year Florida’s governor, that DeSantis man, signed legislation to dissolve the Disney Government in June 2023. Many believe this was a vindictive move because Disney did not support the don’t say gay bill.

DeSantis and other homophobic Republicans claim that Disney is pushing a “woke” agenda not good for children.

You can read the rest here. It’s really scary that we’re dealing with this now, especially after gaining so many equal rights. But that clearly doesn’t matter to people like DeSantis. Nothing would make these people happier than pushing us backward.

Uncertainty on Amazon

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no-nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
