Kenyan Gay Rights Activist is Killed, Ryan Field Books

Kenyan Gay Rights Activist Is Killed

Here is another sad story on the global front. In Kenya, in the city of Nairobi, a gay activist/fashion designer has lost his life. His name was Edwin Chiloba.

His body was found in a box on the side of the road. It wasn’t until someone reported a foul smell that they found his body. The police are still searching for the vehicle that was used to transport Chiloba’s body.

The police have also arrested one of his longtime friends who was visiting Nairobi, but they are not ready to speculate right now.

Here’s a link. They go on to mention how unsafe it can be for gay men in Kenya and how gay sex is criminalized. And there is a nice photo of Chiloba.

I hope they do a follow up on this one. And may he RIP. Next time a straight celebrity posts about how they can’t wait to go visit Kenya, I’m giving them this link.

Uncertainty on Amazon

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no-nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
