Noah Schnapp of “Stranger Things” Comes Out As Gay

Here’s something, once again, that I never get tired of seeing.

A young actor, from the series Stranger Things, named Noah Schnapp just came out of the closet as gay on TikTok. I think social media has made it easier for us to come out. It’s more comfortable to let it out that way. When I came out you had to do it face to face, with more than a few awkward moments.

But I digress. After Schnapp came out, his family and friends all said they weren’t shocked and that they knew all along. I’ve heard that before, too, from my own mother. She knew I was gay, she knew about my gay brother, and she knew about my gay niece and nephew long before any of us came out. For some odd reason, we are always the last ones to know that they know.

In any event, Schnapp actually plays a closeted gay character on Stranger Things. I think he’s wonderful. And I love the series.

For the most part when I saw Schnapp’s name trending on Twitter I found people to be supportive of him coming out.
