Book Author Allegedly Caught Lying About Own Death

I have seen a lot of crooked, sleazy things in the book world in my time, especially in the m/m romance genre. So honestly, this doesn’t shock me. I’ve seen worse.

However, this has caused a great deal of discussion with authors who haven’t seen the crap I have seen, and in its own way it is outrageous.

An Author, Susan Meachen, allegedly died from suicide a few years ago, but she recently returned to Facebook to claim she just needed a break from social media. She started a reading group called The Ward and it went silent after her daughter allegedly posted that Meachen had died.

On January 2nd she returned to the reading group and she wrote this, plus more.

Returning to The Ward doesn’t mean much but I am in a good place now and I am hoping to write again. Let the fun begin.”

Here’s more. It goes on to discuss in detail how other authors felt about all this. Needleless to say, they were not thrilled.

Uncertainty on Amazon

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no-nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
