Top Rabbi In Israel Isn’t Happy With Openly Gay Knesset Speaker

When I posted about the new openly gay Knesset Speaker in Israel, Amir Ohana, I was wondering how everyone in Israel felt about this. And sure enough  a top Rabbi is not thrilled at all. He’s actually called speaker Ohana “infected” and he blames Ohana for the Meron disaster.

The name of the Rabbi is Meir Mazuz and he’s not only very influential, he has strong ties with some of the most prominent members of the new government.

Apparently, the homophobia and hate is running strong in other parts of Israel.

…the head of the Kisse Rahamim Yeshiva in Bnei Brak told students: “There is a time when everyone will be asked: Are you part of the Pride Parade or part of the humility parade?”

Here’s more. It gets into more about how Mazuz has always disliked the LGBTQ community. Some of the things these people say get a lot worse. But as much as I hate to admit this, we in the LGBTQ community are used to this kind of thing. And we just keep moving forward in spite of it.

Uncertainty on Amazon

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no-nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
