LA Restaurant Manager Fired For Scolding Kissing Gay Couple, Ryan Field Books

LA Restaurant Manager Fired For Scolding Kissing Gay Couple

Here’s a follow up to the story I posted about a gay couple who started kissing in an LA restaurant. I had a feeling we would hear more.

The manager was fired after Drew Droege, an openly gay actor, left the restaurant and went on social media to tell the world about his experience in the restaurant. In short, Droege was scolded for kissing another man in what the manager referred to as a “family” restaurant where he claimed they don’t allow that behavior there.

Once the owners of the restaurant found out about it they immediately issued an apology.

“We want to sincerely apologize for the actions of our manager … This is not representative of our core values at El Compadre. The manager has been terminated.”

Here’s more. As a side note, I do find it interesting that social media has gained so much power in the last 10 years. At one time, the mainstream media would have had to pick up a story like this to get any results. And I can’t help but wonder how many stories like this were completely ignored.

Uncertainty on Amazon

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no-nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
