As Russia Tightens Anti-Gay Laws Our Existence Is Practically Illegal

After enforcing the gay propaganda laws a while ago, Russia is now getting worse on LGBTQ equality and human rights.

Russia’s “Upper House” recently approved new legislation that makes it even worse for LGBTQ people living in Russia. It criminalizes us, too.

Members of the LGBTQ community in Russia are frightened and uncertain about their futures. But as one gay couple points out, it’s not always easy to leave because of financial reasons. And many have begun to self-censor in fear of being penalized.

One Moscow publisher began to censor sex scenes out of a gay book. But the words weren’t removed. They simply covered some of the text in black.

Here’s more. It’s a rough situation over there for all LGBTQ people and I hope they get some relief eventually. And it makes me wonder how backward lawmakers in Russia can be. In this day and age it’s hard to believe that they are not more focused on human rights.

Uncertainty on Amazon

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no-nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
