Author of Florida "Don't Say Gay" Bill Indicted for Money Laundering, Ryan Field Books

Author of Florida “Don’t Say Gay” Bill Indicted for Money Laundering

This is too good not to share. Apparently, according to the article to which I’m linking, the guy who authored the don’t say gay bill, Republican lawmaker Joe Harding, was allegedly messing around with COVID relief funds and laundering money, and he got caught.

Not only did he get caught, but they indicted him, too. They claim that Harding allegedly received more than 150K from the Small Business Administration. He supposedly owns a small healthcare business in Ocala.

Harding is the guy who authored the Parental Rights Act, which has become known as the don’t say gay bill. And when he did this, and the bill passed in spite of backlash, he left Florida educators and students terrified of mentioning anything LGBTQ related. It’s an awful bill that silences LGBTQ voices that’s very much like Russia’s gay propaganda laws.

In any event, Harding had a preliminary hearing and he was released on bond.

Here’s more. I’m sure there’s more to come with this story.

A Different Kind of Southern Love Story

What readers are saying about “Uncertainty”

Amazon

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no-nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
