Fox News and Its 5th Back to Back Bestselling  Book

With overall book sales down in recent months, according to Publisher’s Weekly, I found this book publishing article interesting. 

Apparently, Fox news is having some good times with book publishing. With back to back bestsellers, they continue to do well. Fox News Channel Host, Harris Walker, hit the NYT bestseller list almost the moment her book dropped. 

I know nothing about Walker, but according to article to which I’m linking, the book is about faith and the power of prayer. And, this book by Walker beat out books from Michele Obama and Mike Pence. 

They discuss the Fox brand and its powerful following, and how Fox publishing continues to grow. And I’m not surprised by any of this. I think the mainstream is eager to read anything that inspires them. Even though my books are the exact opposite of these Fox books, I always tried to give my small readership a way to escape from their every day lives for a few hours. And I hope to continue doing that. 

You can read more here. As a side note, I also believe that mainstream book publishing in general needs to revamp the entire industry. They still have the same rules and regulations, and they are still depending on literary agents with bad out of touch taste in books to send them content. And no one is interested in those books. It’s time for a change. Hire the literary agents the same way we hire real estate agents and leave the book choices to editors.
