FIFA’s Investigation Regarding Anti-Gay Chants From Mexicans

I’ve heard this before, anti-gay comments from Mexicans. As a matter of fact, just recently. And don’t tell me I have to use a politically correct word here. I know what these anti-gay comments are firsthand. 

As if it isn’t bad enough FIFA held the world cup in homophobic Qatar, now they are investigating alleged homophobic chants from Mexican fans. This is not the first time something like this has happened. 

Here’s what the organizing committee had to say about it. You can read the rest, here.  If they are found guilty, I say ban the Mexican fans for good. It has to stop somewhere. 

“The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has opened proceedings against the Mexican Football Federation due to chants by Mexican supporters during the Saudi Arabia v. Mexico FIFA World Cup match played on 30 November. The proceedings were opened on the basis of article 13 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code,” read a statement from the organising committee.
