 Manhattan Gay Bar Attacked Several Times

When we think about hate crimes and attacks on the LGBTQIA community we don’t usually think of New York City. But this story shows that it’s possible to find hate anywhere in the world. 

In this particular case, someone through bricks at the gay bar while patrons were in there. The bar is “Vers” in Hell’s Kitchen, 

The same thing happened 3 times and the police aren’t certain it was the same person who did it. From the way it sounds, they aren’t saying much of anything right now, which is understandable from a legal POV. 

You can read more about it, here, where there is a video, too. A NYC council member allegedly released the video on Twitter in hopes that someone might recognize the attacker. They guy throwing the brick in the video is recognizable. It’s not one of those unclear fuzzy videos we usually see.
