Colorado Gay Bar Suspect Shooter is Facing Charges

I hope we never become so desensitized with mass shootings that we forget all about them after they happen. Lately, it seems to me that is the direction we’re going. And that’s scary because we need changes in the US so that a gun never falls into the hands of a mass shooter again. 

With that said, I’m linking to an update on the mass shooting in a gay bar in Colorado Springs. As the town continues to mourn and tries to make sense of what happened, the suspect, Anderson Lee Aldrich, is facing murder and hate crime charges. 

Here’s the rest. They go into more detail about how the suspect was stopped by club patrons who were there that night during the shooting. These are the real heroes in life. 

One of the heroes made this statement: 

“I tried to save people and it didn’t work for five of them,” he said. “These are all good people. … I’m not a hero. I’m just some dude.”
