Palestinian Gay Man Brutally Murdered

I posted about this yesterday but I thought it was serious enough to post more.

The decapitated body of a poor young gay man named Ahmad Abu Marhia was found in Hebron just as he was about to be granted asylum. He was living in Israel temporarily and planning to start a new life, free from discriminations, in Canada.  Even though I hate to jump to conclusions, these countries have no respect for anyone LGBTQ. And this painfully gruesome story is proof.

Marhia was only 25 years old, loved by everyone close to him, and he had been waiting for asylum for 2 years. However, while waiting, he experienced death threats the entire time.

That Palestinian police are still “investigating” and looking for a motive. If you believe that. What more do they need to know? Seriously.

The LGBTQ Task force put out a statement about how difficult life is in Palestine for LGBTQ people and how hard they fight to gain asylum in Israel. And then they go on to praise Marhia and speak about what a wonderful person he was.

I find it devastating and heart wrenching that a young gay man would have his head chopped off for no reason at all. In fact, there ARE no reasons for that. It’s just a savage practice. And I have heard about it before.

You can read the rest here.

Amazon

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no-nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
