Gay Palestinian Ahmad Marhia Beheaded In West Bank For Allegedly Being Gay

On the global front, this is what’s still happening to gay people in Muslim countries. This poor kid, Ahmad Abu Marhia, was seeking asylum and getting threats because he was gay. There’s a video of the murder scene that’s been going around on social media (I haven’t seen it) and of course police say they can’t confirm anything.

Give me a break. It’s not like we haven’t seen this before. Israel media claims he was kidnapped and taken to the West Bank. However, Marhia’s family claims this is all hearsay and not true.

Being gay is not accepted in most Palestinian societies, which we all know. The suffering of LGBTQIA people in places like this is never ending and most live with fear. According to this report, Marhia was hoping to flee to Canada. But another report claims he was granted asylum in Israel.

It’s very sad, for his friends and family. He was clearly well loved. It’s also sad for the entire global LGBQIA community, because this kind of thing cannot continue to happen.

There’s more here, where they discuss more about the living conditions in these places for LGBTQIA people. I truly hope they do a follow up to this story. I want to know what happened. The world wants to know what happened.

And I hope the LGBTQ media starts reporting this story instead of worrying about JoJo Siwa.

What readers are saying about “Uncertainty”

Amazon

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no-nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
