JoJo Siwa on Playing a Queer Role

JoJo Siwa is openly LGBTQ. As I read this article in full I started to realize what she means by openly LGBTQ. That seems to be the way most are going about it. And that’s fine. Everyone has to find their own lane.

With that said, Siwa gave a really, really nice interview about being openly LGBTQ, and how it relates to a role she plays. I like this quote so much. And I love the fact that a queer person is playing a queer role.

“But this is so straightforward: Madison is a queer human. I think it’s really special getting to know that kids are going to watch this and not be like, ‘She’s queer? What’s that?’ They’re going to be like, ‘She’s queer. Cool.’ I love that the next generation just kind of [moves past] it vs. it being a weird thing.”

Here’s more.  She goes into more detail about how she identifies and how she views herself as a queer person. It answered all my questions. They also mention how she made history in 2021 by taking on a female partner on Dancing With the Stars.

A Different Kind of Southern Love Story

What readers are saying about “Uncertainty”

Amazon

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no-nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
