Pennsylvania’s Openly Gay Brian Sims Who Recently Lost in the Democratic Primary Poses on Social Media

I have nothing against Brian Sims and I wish him well. We probably agree on most issues.

However, I will never forget Pennsylvania’s Brian Sims for his outrageous outburst on the street with a quiet peaceful protester who was protesting against abortion. It was awful. Tony and I were still living in New Hope, PA, and when I saw what Simms did, I cringed. There are better ways to go about making a point.  You can read more about that here.

Democratic Pennsylvania state Rep. Brian Sims is incurring heavy backlash on social media after posting a livestream that went viral of him confronting an elderly woman who was protesting outside a Planned Parenthood clinic.

He talks at the woman for over eight minutes, calling her an “old, white lady” and shoves his cell phone in her face.

Since that time Sims has remained fairly silent. And now it seems he’s taken to social media to pose in the water. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s a great photo of him. But I wonder if he thinks we’ve forgotten his tirade with the woman. I know nothing about Disney or Mermaids. Not my genre, so I’m lost with this one.

“Who crested better?” he asked in the accompanying caption. A swipe reveals the iconic inspiration for the shot: Disney’s Little Mermaid, Ariel.

Here’s more.

According to this source, Sims also recently lost in the PA Democratic primary to another Democrat, Austin Davis, whom I actually like. This means Brian Sims will not be going back to the State House next year and no one seems to know his future plans.

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no-nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
