Catholic Group Denies Gay Worker’s Husband Benefits

I thought after marriage became legal on a federal level gay news would slow down. But if anything, it’s grown more popular. There seems to be something happening every day, good or bad. If it’s not someone with a large platform coming out of the closet, it’s some Catholic Group denying a gay person benefits.

A federal judge in Maryland has ruled that a Catholic nonprofit organization illegally discriminated against a gay employee by denying spousal benefits to his husband.

Here’s more. At least we have the law on our side. This homophobic Catholic organization actually said they were exempt from antidiscrimination laws because they are a religious group. But the judge wasn’t going to entertain any of that.

This just proves that religious organizations are some of the most homophobic.

What readers are saying about “Uncertainty”

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no-nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
