Gay Republicans In Texas Claim They’ve Failed to Gain Acceptance

It’s hard to keep my opinion out of this, but what TF were gay Republicans thinking in the first place?

The homophobia, the hate, and the ridiculous comments from these straight GOP MAGA people are astounding. And I don’t see that changing any time soon. And yet gay Republicans have been seeking acceptance from the Texas GOP for decades. Unfortunately, these same gay Republicans have not learned their lessons.

The slaps in the face never seem to end. They’ve even been denied a booth at the state convention…and then there’s this.

More than two decades later, this year’s Texas Republican convention made headlines again for its attitudes toward LGBTQ people. The party adopted a platform in June at its convention in Houston declaring that “homosexuality is an abnormal lifestyle choice.”

Here’s more. Many gay Republicans in Texas claim they’ve just lost hope. Which I don’t totally understand. What did they expect from these dumb, mean straights in the first place? The only good thing about all this is that the Texas GOP will not go down in history well.

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no-nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
