Palm Springs Man Gets Monkey Pox, Ryan Field Books

Palm Springs Man Gets Monkey Pox

This news item really took me by surprise because I know the guy who got Monkey Pox. I’m not a good friend of his, but he lived in the same complex Tony and I lived in about a year ago. This was the same complex that was so pet-unfriendly that we sold and moved away as fast as we could. To our surprise, we sold that condo fast and bought a single-family home in Palm Springs with its own property. I posted all about that, here.

But there were many things about living in that condo that concerned me. For one thing, it was COVID. When we moved there everyone was still dealing with COVID and this complex was one of those elevator buildings that everyone shared. It was more like an apartment than a condo. And now that I read this story about a guy who lived in the same complex I’m stunned. And I hope he’s okay. We never got to know him very well but he seemed like a nice guy.

He recently gave an interview to a local Palm Springs news program and it’s the first time I’m reading about how bad Monkey Pox can be.

The 56-year-old is finally feeling better after becoming the county’s first confirmed monkeypox patient. “This was five times worse than covid, and the least pleasant illness I have ever had in my life,” Goldfarb said.

Here’s more.  After reading this article I’ll be looking for where I can get vaccinated for Monkey Pox. From what I gather, it spreads easily. I’ve read you can even get it from sheets.

What readers are saying about “Uncertainty”

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no-nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
