UK Soccer Player Jake Daniels Comes Out As Gay, Ryan Field Books

UK Soccer Player Jake Daniels Comes Out As Gay

This is making news all over the world. The well-known UK soccer player, Jake Daniels, just came out as gay. He’s only 17 years old and Brave AF. He is also THE first UK player to come out in years. Even though we know there are and have been other gay players, non have come out, not since Justin Fashanu in 1990. That’s a long time for the rest of these guys to remain in the closet.

In any event, maybe Jake Daniels will spark some influence and excitement about coming out as a role model. That’s what he’s hoping to do. I think it makes a difference. Straight people have no idea just how difficult it still is to come out as gay. You’re introducing a whole new person to the world. And if you’re not received well, it can be devastating and traumatic.

“Now is the time to do it,” he said. “I feel like I am ready to tell people my story. I want people to know the real me.”

Here’s more. Smart guy. The article states he’s been aware of being gay since he was 6 years old.

Amazon

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no-nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
