Lawmakers In Louisiana Kill Don't Say Gay Bill, Gay History Made: First Openly Gay White House Press Secretary, Ryan Field Gay Author

Lawmakers In Louisiana Kill Don’t Say Gay Bill

This is good news to read. At least we’re not being kicked everywhere in the world. There was a bill similar to the don’t say gay bill in Florida in the state of Louisiana and it was recently knocked down.

However, it was a 7-4 vote, which means there were still some who wanted the bill to pass. It’s so sad to read these things nowadays. We should all know better. This is one of the quotes from a highly ill-informed reverend who wanted the bill to pass.

“People have the right to choose what they want to be but they don’t have the right to promote it to our children in schools.”

Here’s more. I can’t speak for anyone else that falls under the LGBTQ umbrella, but I can tell you that gay men do not choose what they want to be. We are born that way. It’s not a choice. How this reverend could still be so ignorant of that fact just passes me by.

And, I don’t know anyone who wants to promote anything LGBTQIA to small children. The truth is that millions of school teachers are gay and are still in the closet, and it’s always been that way. There have always been gay school teachers. I’ve known more than a few personally, and they NEVER discuss their personal lives with kids for fear they’ll lose their jobs. They simply remain in the closet at work.

Gay History Made: First Openly Gay White House Press Secretary

This made the rounds all day yesterday. Karine Jean-Pierre is the first openly gay person to become the White House Press Secretary. President Biden said this:

Karine not only brings the experience, talent and integrity needed for this difficult job, but she will continue to lead the way in communicating about the work of the Biden-Harris Administration on behalf of the American people,” Biden, 79, said.

Here is the link. In the midst of all the hate that the LGBTQIA community has been experiencing lately, I think that’s progress. It goes into a lot more details.
