Ding Dong Bill Maher Thinks Don't Say Gay Is All About Sex, 95 Photos of Hot Guys with Birds and Other Animals by Walter Jenkel, Ryan Field Books

Ding Dong Bill Maher Thinks Don’t Say Gay Is All About Sex

This kind of thinking is really typical of so many straight people. And it can be conservative or liberal. Sometimes it doesn’t really matter. When we think about heterosexual people we don’t zoom right in on their sex lives. We think of families, of moms and dads, and the mainstream. However, when people mention gay or “homosexual” it is automatically associated with sex, sexuality, and a term I’ve come to despise…” sexual orientation.”

And this is what Ding Dong Bill Maher did the other night.

“I guess it’s a reaction to Republicans who feel that there’s too much talk in lower grades — I think it’s only, they’re talking about kindergarten to third grade – so we’re talking about very young kids who, you know, as always with this stuff, you know, it’s not like there’s no kernel of truth in that maybe kids that young shouldn’t be thinking about sex at all,” Maher said during the “Overtime” segment on Friday.

Here’s more. Clearly, Maher is so steeped in his own straight privilege he can’t even fathom that kids know they are gay at very young ages (I can’t speak for anyone else in the LGBTQIA group). And they need to talk about it on a more emotional level. There’s no sex involved. I’ll repeat that: No Sex. By 3 years old, most of us at least suspect we are “different.” We’re just not sure what that means, so we spend the next 20 or more years kicking ourselves for being “different.” If we had just been told it’s okay to be gay at young ages we might have avoided so much emotional heartache.

But Bill Maher thinks it’s all about sex, and so do a lot of other ding dongs in Florida.

95 Photos of Hot Guys with Birds and Other Animals by Walter Jenkel

This is a really interesting piece of gay culture and photography all combined. It’s 95 excellent photos of great-looking men posing in natural settings with wild animals. They guys are all clothed and there’s no nudity. It’s SFW, too.

The artist, Walter Jenkel, is German but he now resides in Spain. And he has a long list of professional mainstream credits as a professional photographer.

In his more recent project, A Poetics of the Ineffable, Jenkel puts his dedication to the environment and love for animals on display. The project aims to explore magical connections between humans and animals.

Here’s the link. You’ll be viewing these photos more than once. I wish I could share at least one photo here but I don’t have permission.
