Disney Finally Takes Stand on Don’t Say Gay Bill

Disney finally took a stand on that horrible don’t say gay bill that is so beloved to the family-friendly right-wing Christian crowd in Florida. It is what it is and I’m tired of being polite about it. The people who support this bill are despicable. They have no respect for human rights. And most are too stupid to know that just talking about being LGBTQ is not about sex or sexuality. 

In any event, Disney CEO, Bob Chapek, finally said that Disney will not financially support politicians who support the don’t say gay bill, and then Chapek apologized to the LGBTQ employees of Disney. 

“Speaking to you, reading your messages, and meeting with you have helped me better understand how painful our silence was,” Chapek told Disney staff in an email obtained by Rolling Stone Friday, March 11. “It is clear that this is not just an issue about a bill in Florida, but instead yet another challenge to basic human rights. You needed me to be a stronger ally in the fight for equal rights and I let you down. I am sorry.”

Of course, horrible Ron DeSantis who’s the governor of Florida is already striking back with his own family-friendly Christian anti-Disney comments. It’s always the family-friendly ones you have to watch the most.
