Disney Employees Hurt and Outraged that Disney Won’t Speak Out Against the Don’t Say Gay Bill

While following the stories that have been surrounding this don’t say gay bill in Florida, the most fascinating thing is the way Disney won’t come out and condemn the bill. And now Disney employees are starting to speak up. Disney employs many LGBTQ people.

current and former Disney employees spoke out on social media to express their disappointment in tweets and videos, as well as in interviews. Even a descendant of Walt Disney’s has joined the outcry.

Here’s the rest. Abigail Disney who is a grand-niece of Walt Disney believes Bob Chapek who’s the CEO of Disney won’t speak out for fear of MAGA backlash. And I’m starting to think this whole thing smells of Maga backlash.

A Gay Dating App Helps Gay People Fleeing From Ukraine

I know nothing about dating apps, but this was good to see. Apparently, a gay dating app that is a lot like Grindr is helping gay people in Ukraine flee the country and find places to stay.

Romeo also allows users to join forum groups, and at the start of this week, the app launched an official group called “Shelter for Ukraine.” The group launched at the end of February, per Romeo’s Twitter announcement. Since then, nearly 10,000 users have joined, with people from all over Europe offering queer-friendly shelter for “our Rainbow family and their loved ones,” per the group’s description.

Here’s more. I think this is a wonderful thing. And it’s one of the best examples of how technology can be positive I’ve ever seen.

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
