Kids Now Spend Less Time Watching TV Than Ever Before

This is a pop culture piece I found interesting. I don’t think TV will disappear. I just think people will be watching it in a different way.  Boomers are still watching but that’s mainly because so many don’t even know how to stream. Here’s just one example. In the last 20 years, Tony and I rented out a garage apartment to college-age new adults and not one of them bothered to get cable TV. They paid for internet, but not TV. And from what I’m hearing younger kids don’t watch much TV either. It’s been happening over the last 20 years, but now it seems to be moving faster.

We’re always talking about how kids these days are addicted to screens. But although four years ago, TV still reigned supreme in kids’ screen time preferences, a new report from Common Sense Media shows online videos have left TV in the dust. So kids are watching less TV, but they’re spending more time on screens than ever.

Here’s more.  I think this trend will continue.

Reader Reviews: This is the first of its kind not only a gay retelling of Flowers in the Attic but the first of any kind of retelling of any of the V.C. Andrews books. Usually, two fears strike for fans of any book that is going to get a new twist.

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
