LGBTQ Advocates Are Against “Don’t Say Gay” Bill In Florida

This story has been highly visible all month, and I’m glad it has been. A bill was passed in Florida recently that might wind up silencing anything related to LGBTQ topics. It’s a lot like the gay propaganda laws in Russia that we all know about. And LGBTQ advocates worry it will be harmful to LGBTQ kids in schools. 

“The legislation that is being proposed, the ones that we are here to fight tonight, are rolling back the clock,” Galvin said from behind a podium at a rally against the bill on Tuesday night in Wilton Manors.

Here’s more. Wilton Manors is in Southern Florida with a large concentration of gay people. It’s been that way for years. I’m glad to see they are fighting back. This law is not only dangerous, but it’s also truly not good for younger LGBTQ people.
