Good Old Homophobic Florida Passes Don’t Say Gay Bill

When I read things like this I’m so glad Tony and I did NOT go to live in Wilton Manors, Florida like so many other gay couples we know did. Because as open-minded and liberal as some small sections of Florida can be, the rest of the state is a homophobic cesspool of the worst kind.

Florida recently passed a law where discussions about sexual orientation are banned, it silences educators about discussing LGBTQ topics openly that are not considered “age-appropriate,” and basically erases LGBTQ history and culture. It reminds me of the horrible law that was passed in Russia not to long ago about Gay Propaganda.  These straights actually consider our lives propaganda.

What these clueless straights fail to realize is that gay kids do, indeed, exist. Most of us know we’re gay from around 3-5 years old. And we grow up living in this confusing glass jar never knowing what to think about ourselves. If we had discussion and reinforcement in schools we would at least have a fighting chance. But these straight homophobes in Florida are so steeped in their privilege they can’t even grasp what I’m saying right now.

Chasten Buttigieg actually spoke out on the topic.

Chasten Buttigieg, the husband of transportation secretary and former presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg, after the bill had passed called out Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for making Florida a more hostile place for LGBTQ+ youth.

“This will kill kids,” he wrote Thursday on Twitter. “You are purposefully making your state a harder place for LGBTQ kids to survive in.”

Here’s more. One claim they make is that this is good for parents because it gives them more control over what their kids learn in school. But that’s just an excuse to give homophobic, hateful, christian fools an excuse to pretend gay kids don’t exist. Or, many of these homophobic christians are just plain stupid. You should see some of the things I see with these dumb MAGA types on Twitter.

The Lying Media Bloomberg Opinion Exaggerates About Empty Supermarket Shelves

This article I’m linking to shows another story of how the media often tries to manipulate us and sway our opinions. They talk about empty shelves in the supermarkets of the US and it’s completely exaggerated. I read the replies on Twitter and most people said they aren’t seeing any signs of food shortages. And I personally went to the supermarket earlier today and all the shelves were stocked.

The checked with family and friends back east and all their supermarket shelves are stocked. The only places that seem to have empty shelves are those who have had seriously bad weather and they aren’t used to having seriously bad weather. There’s a logical reason for the empty shelves.

Here we go again. Walk into a U.S. supermarket, and chances are you’ll see some empty shelves once more.

Here’s more. I haven’t seen any empty shelves yet. Maybe I will in the future, maybe I’m missing something, but that’s not the way this article has been written. You can check it out for yourselves.
