Two Gay Men Executed In Iran For Sodomy, Grindr Disappears From App Stores In China, Ryan Field Books

Two Gay Men Executed In Iran For Sodomy

What a disgusting country!! Just how cruel can these awful backward barbarians be?

Two gay men were executed for sodomy in f$#king Iran after they served six years in prison for the same crime.

Karmel Melamed, a journalist covering Iran, wrote on Twitter that the “Ayatollah regime” in the country “just executed two gay men” by “hanging” for the “crime of sodomy”.

Here’s more. Although it’s rarely mentioned, this is always based on Islamic beliefs. But they do go into more detail about human rights in Iran.

Grindr Disappears From App Stores In China

It sounds as though Grindr disappeared from App stores in China because they are censoring gay content now. For those who don’t know, China is a very homophobic place where they even censor gay romance in films.

In short, China is censoring the Internet and making its own judgments on what is civilized and healthy and what is not.

The campaign aims to “create a civilized, healthy, festive and auspicious online atmosphere for public opinion during the Lunar New Year,” the administration said in a statement.

Here’s the rest. Be interesting to see what they do next. The thing that always surprises me is that these countries and religions behave as if they can just make LGBTQ people disappear. By censoring and removing apps they are not removing the LGBTQ population. More and more of us are coming out and what they do to us only makes us stronger and more determined to fight. They’re wasting their time.

The New "No Homo Promo" Law in Good Old Florida, Ryan Field Gay Romance

The New “No Homo Promo” Law in Good Old Florida

Here’s more about that new bill they just approved in Florida that’s designed to silence gay voices and gay information in schools. It’s not a law yet, but they are pushing it through quickly. It’s being called “The Parents Rights in Education Bill.” In other words, it means that homophobic Christian parents want no mention of anything gay or LGBTQ in the classrooms. They want us completely silenced, which can be very dangerous for gay kids just coming out…or tortured with the thought of coming out. It’s never easy for any gay person to come out.

Part of a class of legislation colloquially known as “don’t say gay” bills, which have been introduced in several state legislatures in recent years, the Florida bill, if passed, could easily be construed as a directive to educators to erase all mention of marginalized people’s lives from the classroom.

Here’s more. Oh, that Florida. I’m curious to see how this turns out.

They go into more detail about how this could harm other marginalized groups, too.  These antiquated laws are very dangerous and they are designed by very dangerous people.

Ben Wishaw Doesn't Always Believe Straights Playing Gay Parts, Ryan Field Gay Romance

Ben Wishaw Doesn’t always Believe Straights Playing Gay Parts

Most people don’t realize that when Abe Lincoln wrote the Gettysburg Address he used one-syllable words and he kept it short and sweet. He was a smart man who knew how to make his point. Anything longer or more self-indulgent and he would have lost his audience.

With that said, this is a very LONG piece about Ben Wishaw, the actor. It’s so long they almost lost me, but I wanted to get to the part where he talks about straights playing gay for pay. Recently I posted about Eddie Redmayne and how he regreeted playing a trans character. Even though Redmayne was beyond excellent in that role, he regretted doing it for various reasons. And I agree with him. Just because you can do something well doesn’t mean you should be doing it.

So I was curious about what Wishaw had to say on the topic.

Why shouldn’t a role like that be given to someone who knows, inside, what the character is? I’m all for that. I feel the same, sometimes, about straight actors playing gay parts. I’m critical if I don’t think the performance is, from my subjective experience, accurate. I might think, ‘I don’t believe you!’ And even a small moment of hesitation or inauthenticity will block my engagement with the whole story. So I understand these questions.”

This was my problem with Brokeback Mountain, a book written by a straight woman and a movie with straights playing gay. There were scenes that were simply not believable to me. One of which was the anal sex scene. I can still remember that. I wonder if Ms. Proulx tried that out personally, herself.

Here’s more. I think he answered the question very wisely, and politely. I feel the same way when I see a straight playing gay, or when I read a book with all gay content that was written by a straight author. The rest of the straight world probably won’t notice. But we know right from the start. You can’t fool us.

But check out the entire article. I know it’s long but it’s worth the read. They get into a lot more about hot Ben Wishaw.

Gay Mayor In Hyattsville Maryland Found Dead, Ryan Field Books

Gay Mayor In Hyattsville Maryland Found Dead

Here’s a not-so-happy story about an openly gay mayor in Maryland that was found dead. Kevin Ward was only 44 years old and he took office in 2020. I don’t remember posting about him so I guess it didn’t make major news. Usually, whenever a gay person runs for public office it makes the gay presses.

What’s even sadder is that he allegedly died by suicide.

Ward’s body was discovered by police in Fort Marcy, which is a park in McLean, Va., outside Washington, D.C. It’s the same park where police found the body of former Clinton White House counsel Vince Foster, who died by suicide in July of 1993. The park is known as a gay cruising area, according to MTO News.

Here’s more. A family member is saying it was murder. Ward left behind two teenage sons and a husband. I hope they investigate this thoroughly because those cruising parks can be very dangerous places.

Top Psychiatrist Goes Cruising for Gay Sex at a Park and Gets a Bloody Beating, Ryan Field Books

Top Psychiatrist Goes Cruising for Gay Sex at a Park and Gets a Bloody Beating

This is why no gay man can ever think that he is safe. We’ve all gone cruising at one point or another and we’ve all faced the dangers that go along with cruising. Some of us get lucky. Some of us get arrested. Most of us wind up going home alone. And some of us wind up severely beaten and left for dead. It’s a rough way of life.

Father-of-two Dr Gary Jenkins, 54, suffered horrific injuries when he was attacked as he went to the park to ‘explore his bisexuality’ after the break-up of his marriage.

Here’s more. He was brutally beaten to death by 3 straights…scum…one of whom was a 16-year-old girl. You can see photos at this link. The evil teenage girl laughed and jeered according to this account.

This is why you can never, ever drop your guard when you are gay and you are out alone. Especially under these circumstances.

Pope Francis Says Support Gay Kids, Ryan Field Books

Pope Francis Says Support Gay Kids

This Pope constantly seems to be going back and forth with LGBTQ issues. I’m not always sure why, but at least this time it’s positive. Of course, I wish he wouldn’t compare being gay to an illness or an accident. That doesn’t sound quite right. But at least he’s saying parents should support them instead of kicking them out of the house.

In speaking about how parents should always stand by their children during difficult times, including illness or accidents, the pope said parents should also accompany “children with different sexual orientations.”

Here’s more. He even suggests some kind of civil union law so gay people are covered. The rest of the piece is actually very supportive. But be prepared with what he might say next time. He has a history of bouncing back and forth.

Romance Cover Model and Playgirl Cover Model Julian Fantechi is Back on Social Media, Ryan Field Books

Romance Cover Model and Playgirl Cover Model Julian Fantechi is Back on Social Media

I can’t believe it’s been this long, but back in 2010 I became acquainted with the nicest guy I think I’ve ever met online. He caught my eye because he was doing romance covers at the time and he was definitely in high demand. At that time, I had no control over what kind of models my publishers chose for my books, but that didn’t stop me from becoming cyber friends with Julian for a short time. I wanted to use him as a cover model for my books, but I was working with the now-defunct romance publisher, Ravenous Romance, and the Editor in Chief was Holly Schmidt. She knew nothing about romance but she was a total control freak and never took any advice from authors. I’m still here writing gay romance, last I heard she was writing books about hot dogs.  As far as modeling goes, he’s done a lot, including a photoshoot for Playgirl Magazine. And now, after all this time, I think a good deal of his work is considered vintage.

With that said, Julian eventually went back to a real-life career, I believe, in counseling. I’m not sure exactly where he did this, but I know he wanted to be discreet about his modeling career so I never asked too many questions. Back in the early days of the Internet people were reluctant to share their real life info with their online info. That’s why you see so many fake names and profiles on Twitter. Julian is also straight so there’s that difference, too. Gay people always know when to stop with straight guys…especially good-looking straight guys. Most of us will only get so friendly, and then back off.

The reason I’m posting about this is that I recently saw Julian on Facebook and I wanted to share his link. I think my readers will enjoy it. He’s not one of those straight guys that gaybaits us. I’ve never seen him do it. He’s always been open and honest about who he is and there’s no pretense.

So, if you’re looking to follow someone interesting, you can check out Julain Fantechi, here. It’s hard to find other links to him because many have been taken down over the years. But I did find this one.  It’s an interview with Julian that dates back to 2007. I can’t believe that time has flown so fast. And here are my links to my posts about Julian. Just scroll down and you’ll find several.

Maybe I’m crazy for showcasing another guy on my website. Especially when that guy already has his own website www.julian-fantechi.com and that guy is also Playgirl magazine’s “Man of the Year” for 2007, like I need that competition. But, hey, what can I say? I’m a giver and “big” enough to share the limelight with him. (Sexual inuendo intended)

Maybe I’m crazy for showcasing another guy on my website. Especially when that guy already has his own

Julian has aged a little since I last saw him on social media, but he’s only gotten better. His body is in top form right now, and photos to prove it.

New generation wants to bring gay bars back

After watching many gay bars disappear in the last 20 years this story sounds promising. I hope it works out.

Early next year, Pike and partner Jo McDaniel plan to open As You Are Bar on Barracks Row in Southeast Washington. It’s one of a handful of queer spaces set to open in coming months.

Here’s the rest. They go into a longer detailed version of the history of gay bars and how important they’ve always been to the LGBT community.

Another Homophobic Nation in Homophobic Africa, Namibia, Rules Against Gay Marriage

It’s no secret that LGBTQ people have a rough time living in backward godawful places like Namibia…or other parts of Africa. I once read somewhere that all this homophobia is spread by Christians from the US who are there on missions in Africa to convert people. It was a long time ago and I’m not sure that’s true. But I do know that LGBTQ people in these countries are treated as if they are second-class citizens.

In this particular case, the judge actually agreed with the gay couple about marriage, but she couldn’t do anything because Namibia has a “prohibition” on same-sex relations. As I said, these places are very backward and inhibited.

“The current legal position has turned me, and many others in my position, into second-class citizens, forced to choose between our country and our family,” he said in a statement.

Here’s more. It goes into much more detail about how all this affected two same-sex couples. Both couples were already married in other places but they moved to Namibia where their marriages aren’t recognized.

The trouble is that when you’re gay you really ARE a second-class citizen wherever you go…unless of course, it’s a gay mecca. It even happens in the US, but it’s just more passive-aggressive. The entire world is so steeped in straight privilege it might take centuries for us to gain full equality.

Good Old Homophobic Florida Passes Don't Say Gay Bill, The Lying Media Bloomberg Opinion Exaggerates about Empty Supermarket Shelves, Ryan Field Books

Good Old Homophobic Florida Passes Don’t Say Gay Bill

When I read things like this I’m so glad Tony and I did NOT go to live in Wilton Manors, Florida like so many other gay couples we know did. Because as open-minded and liberal as some small sections of Florida can be, the rest of the state is a homophobic cesspool of the worst kind.

Florida recently passed a law where discussions about sexual orientation are banned, it silences educators about discussing LGBTQ topics openly that are not considered “age-appropriate,” and basically erases LGBTQ history and culture. It reminds me of the horrible law that was passed in Russia not to long ago about Gay Propaganda.  These straights actually consider our lives propaganda.

What these clueless straights fail to realize is that gay kids do, indeed, exist. Most of us know we’re gay from around 3-5 years old. And we grow up living in this confusing glass jar never knowing what to think about ourselves. If we had discussion and reinforcement in schools we would at least have a fighting chance. But these straight homophobes in Florida are so steeped in their privilege they can’t even grasp what I’m saying right now.

Chasten Buttigieg actually spoke out on the topic.

Chasten Buttigieg, the husband of transportation secretary and former presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg, after the bill had passed called out Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for making Florida a more hostile place for LGBTQ+ youth.

“This will kill kids,” he wrote Thursday on Twitter. “You are purposefully making your state a harder place for LGBTQ kids to survive in.”

Here’s more. One claim they make is that this is good for parents because it gives them more control over what their kids learn in school. But that’s just an excuse to give homophobic, hateful, christian fools an excuse to pretend gay kids don’t exist. Or, many of these homophobic christians are just plain stupid. You should see some of the things I see with these dumb MAGA types on Twitter.

The Lying Media Bloomberg Opinion Exaggerates About Empty Supermarket Shelves

This article I’m linking to shows another story of how the media often tries to manipulate us and sway our opinions. They talk about empty shelves in the supermarkets of the US and it’s completely exaggerated. I read the replies on Twitter and most people said they aren’t seeing any signs of food shortages. And I personally went to the supermarket earlier today and all the shelves were stocked.

The checked with family and friends back east and all their supermarket shelves are stocked. The only places that seem to have empty shelves are those who have had seriously bad weather and they aren’t used to having seriously bad weather. There’s a logical reason for the empty shelves.

Here we go again. Walk into a U.S. supermarket, and chances are you’ll see some empty shelves once more.

Here’s more. I haven’t seen any empty shelves yet. Maybe I will in the future, maybe I’m missing something, but that’s not the way this article has been written. You can check it out for yourselves.
