Aaron Sorkin’s Stright Privilege Wants Straights to Play Gayface

Aaron Sorkin has a new movie out titled, Being the Ricardos. It’s about Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz and that’s really all I know about it. I do plan in seeing it this week, though. 

Sorkin recently gave an interview and he mentioned straights playing gay for pay. 

So this notion that only gay actors should play gay characters? That only a Cuban actor should play Desi? Honestly, I think it’s the mother of all empty gestures and a bad idea.”

JK Rowling and Her Radical TERFs

Unless you’re living under a rock, you have to know that JK Rowling has been highly vocal about her dislike for transgender women. It’s very sad. To the point where she’s hurt so many people, she’s been canceled completely by gay men like me. I simply cannot support someone with Rowling’s straight milky white privilege going after such a small group of marginalized people like Trans women. I despise that kind of hate.

With that said, Rowling is part of a group of radical feminists called TERFs. And in their hatred for trans women, they are aligned with conservative right-wing groups who also dislike trans women. 

 Many anti-trans feminists today claim it’s a slur, despite what many see as an accurate description of their beliefs. They now prefer to call themselves “gender critical,” a euphemism akin to white supremacists calling themselves “race realists.”
