Gay Men and Blood Donations All These Years Later
It’s hard to believe sometimes that the antiquated rules of the AIDS era for gay men (almost 40 years ago) are still being enforced today. But when it comes to blood donations, that’s exactly what’s happening. And now the MU student body president is questioning it. I know others (including me) have questioned it, too.
Landon Brickey sent a tweet on his official Twitter account, @MSAPresident, that read: “Love being ostracized from an entire Mizzou tradition because of my sexual orientation! M-I-Z.”
Here’s more. He posted the Tweet claiming he wants people to know about it, and start talking about it. I think he’s right. Many don’t even know this is still a federal thing.

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed, and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
